The Initiative Behind the Platform
The WEFE Alliance is a collaborative initiative dedicated to advancing sustainable management of Water, Energy, Food, and Ecosystems (WEFE) in North Macedonia and the wider region. Supported by the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning, the project brings together experts, institutions, and communities to foster innovative solutions for equitable access to resources, climate resilience, and environmental protection.
Our story began with the recognition that water, energy, food, and ecosystems are deeply interconnected, and that addressing today’s environmental challenges requires an integrated approach. By combining scientific expertise, policy development, and public engagement, we aim to support the transition toward a greener and more sustainable future.
Through research, capacity building, and active dialogue, the WEFE Alliance creates a platform for cooperation between government, academia, civil society, and the private sector. Our mission is to empower stakeholders with knowledge and strategies that ensure the well-being of people and ecosystems alike.
